Have you filed your form E this year?
It is the time of the year again, where companies are required to submit a Form E to the Inland Revenue Board. The dateline is by end of March.
Are you aware that even dormant company will be required to submit the Form E?
Yes, you read it right. Irrespective of the company is dormant or active, with or without an employee, a Form E return is required.
Dormant here includes:
a) never commenced operations since the date it was incorporated/established; or
b) had previously been in operation or carried on business but has now ceased operations or business.
Have you submitted your Form E?
Any person who fails without reasonable excuse shall be guilty of an offense and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine of not less than RM200 and not more than RM20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both.
